Further down the image library there is copied three pages about the dogs. Jackson bought the dogs in Kharborova, but the dogs were brought there by someone else. They lost dogs because they were fighting each other and it wasn't easy to let them pull the sledge.

Before Frederick G. Jackson went for his expedition to Franz Joseph Land he travelled also in Northern Siberia and met the Samoyed people. He wrote a book about it "The great frozen land". You can read this online: https://archive.org/stream/greatfrozenlandb00jack... 

Further down the image library there is copied three pages, two about the Samoyed-dogs and one with a picture with dogs, but these dogs could be of the Zirian people.
