Aage from Norway has written an article about the different Samoyed cultures and shared thoughts about his analyzes and conclusions.
"Let me be a little specific about the past of the Samoyed dog. What are the standards for the breed in the Nordic countries? The Norwegian standard for the breed does not say anything about the breed's area of application. In our neighboring countries, the following states the scope of application: DK: Sled dog, companion dog. Answer: Sled and companion dog In the standard that applies in Norway, there is absolutely nothing about the area of use. The same applies to the history of the breed. In Sweden and Denmark, the breed is linked to the Samoyed tribes in Siberia. Used as sled dogs, reindeer herders and guard dogs. Furthermore, the origin is linked to Kilburn Scott and polar expeditions........."
